Communal & Boundary Violence in the Middle Belt of Nigeria (2018 - 2024)

Communal & Boundary violence often arise from disputes over resources, land ownership, or ethnic and communal differences. From 2018 to 2024, Taraba and Plateau have been most affected in terms of victims despite Benue recording the highest number of incidents, highlighting significant conflict intensity. Nasarawa state also recorded a high number of victims within this time span despite having one of the lowest number of incidents amongst the middle belt region.
